I'm certainly open to improving speeds. Mirrors are one possibility, although I have not set up rsyncd in order to make it possible so far. Where are you located? I would not be opposed to setting up project hosted mirrors for popular locations like North America and Europe. I just didn't do so pre-emptively until there was actual demand.

I'm located in Russia right now, and upload/download speed is like... 280~ KB/s and with VPN (Germany) 311~ KB/s which is sooo bad

Yeah I can imagine. The Chimera servers in Czechia were equally slow for me in Australia. I'll look into some options for speeding it up for you.

Does using a CDN help much? Follow the instructions on https://chimera-linux.org/docs/apk/mirrors and try using https://casuarina.b-cdn.net/ as the CHIMERA_REPO_URL.
